Undergraduate courses

The next intake into undergraduate courses will be first semester 2010. There is no mid-year intake into undergraduate courses.

Local students

Firstly, check that you are eligible for admission by viewing the undergraduate admission requirements.

You will then need to apply online through the University Admissions Centre (UAC) at www.uac.edu.au.

Year 12 applicants

Your ATAR will determine your eligibility for entry into an undergraduate course. View the ATAR cut-offs for students who started in 2009.

Non-Year 12 applicants

If you are not completing Year 12 in 2009, you are a non-current school leaver and you are strongly advised to also submit a personal statement to UTS. The closing date for personal statements is 30 November 2009. Entry into courses is competitive and will be based on your responses and your performance in previous academic qualifications.

International students

If you are not an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident and you are not completing Year 12 at an Australian high school or TAFE you must apply through UTS International.

Please be aware that the Bachelor of Midwifery is not available to international students.

Honours

The next intake into undergraduate honours courses will be first semester 2010. There is no mid-year intake into these courses.

Applications for the Bachelor Honours are by Direct Application. Application forms are available from the UTS Student Centres. Applications close at the end of October for commencement the following year.

The Faculty also requires applicants to submit a proposal, outlining the project they wish to undertake for their degree and a supplementary form (pdf, 44kb) with the agreement of a supervisor from the Faculty to supervise the project.

Find a supervisor

Find a supervisor for each research area and methodology. You are encouraged to contact the Bachelor Honours coordinator to discuss your project before contacting potential supervisors.

Postgraduate courses

Local students

The next intake into postgraduate courses for local students will be first semester 2010.

Applications will open in August 2009. To apply, you will need to lodge your application online through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) at www.uac.edu.au/postgraduate (opens an external site).

Applicants to the Graduate Diploma in Midwifery need to gain midwifery employment at a participating accredited midwifery unit. Please view the Important information for 2010 Graduate Diploma in Midwifery applicants (pdf, 52kb) for the list of participating units.

Closing dates for coursework applications are:
Round 1 - 30 October 2009
Round 2 - 30 November 2009
Round 3 - 29 January 2010

Applications for all courses are currently being accepted.

Applications will continue to be accepted during Round 3 for courses which still have places available.

N.B. Applications for scholarships often close before UTS course applications. We recommend that you seek relevant information as soon as possible if you wish to apply for a scholarship. We have listed a selection of scholarships.

International students

The next intake into postgraduate courses for international students will be first semester 2010.

If you are not an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident you need to apply through UTS International.
